Pet Sematary: Bloodlines 2 would continue the story of Lindsey Anderson Beer’s Stephen King prequel. The first movie in the Pet Sematary franchise from the writer-director, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines focused on the character of Jud Crandall prior to the events of the Pet Sematary movies (specifically the 2019 remake directed by Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer). Set in 1969, the first movie showed how Jud — played now by Jackson White (Mrs. Fletcher) — first learned of Ludlow’s history and why burying the dead there is always a risky gamble.
