Official MCU Timeline Book Admits Spider-Man: Homecoming Mistake
One of Marvel Studios’ biggest continuity mistakes in Spider-Man: Homecoming has finally been solved thanks to the official MCU timeline book. After Tom Holland debuted as the MCU’s Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man, in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming marked his first solo adventure. Since Homecoming was set only a matter of weeks after Civil War, the film was set in 2016, with the opening moments flashing back to the aftermath of 2012’s Battle of New York. However, a title card suggesting Homecoming took place eight-years after The Avengers confused many, yet this has since been revealed to simply be a major mistake in the MCU’s official timeline.
