Napoleon is failing to conquer either critics or audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. The new Ridley Scott historical epic stars Joaquin Phoenix as the titular French leader Napoleon Bonaparte and Vanessa Kirby as his first wife Empress Joséphine. During its Thanksgiving week release, the movie topped the global box office, taking in a domestic gross of $32.5 million (No. 2 behind The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) and a whopping international gross of $46.3 million for a worldwide total of $78.8 million.
