As Magic: The Gathering got more amibitious with its crossover potential, a few potential partners began to be discussed among players. One that seemed to almost always pop up in “dream” scenario conversations was Doctor Who, which just a few years ago would have been an impossibility because of its sci-fi status alone. Now, with Universes Beyond and an increasing amount of properties joining the extended MTG family, we’re on the cusp of one of the biggest crossover events yet, with Doctor Who characters set to become tabletop fixtures on October 13, 2023.
