Meryl Streep Addresses Potential Mamma Mia 3 Return After Being Killed Off In Sequel

Legendary actress Meryl Streep reveals she’s open to returning in Mamma Mia! 3 even after her character was killed off in the previous installment. Based on Catherine Johnson’s 1999 book of the same name, is jukebox musical that uses hit songs from the Swedish pop group ABBA. The series features a stellar ensemble cast of Christine Baranski, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Julie Walters, Dominic Cooper, Amanda Seyfried, Stellan Skarsgård, and Meryl Streep who plays Sophie’s mother. It initially premiered in 2008 with Mamma Mia! and a sequel titled Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was released ten years later.
