MCU Phase 5 Confirms Another Avenger Is Repeating Iron Man’s Curse

Marvel Studios is repeating the Iron Man curse with another Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 5. Kevin Feige’s decision to launch the franchise with a B-list Marvel Comics character was admittedly divisive. However, as if that wasn’t that big of a risk, Marvel Studios’ took a bigger gamble when they cast Robert Downey Jr. in the role. It all paid off, however, after it became immediately clear that the actor was perfect for the role of Tony Stark. Over the next 11 years, he became the poster boy of the MCU, ending up having the best long-term personal arc in movies.
