Marvel Just Secretly Resolved A Major Winter Soldier Plot-Hole Before Thunderbolts

Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) is one character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe who has gone through a lot of character development as a result of his time as the Winter Soldier, and Marvel just secretly solved a major plot hole about his story and reputation before his return in Thunderbolts. Bucky Barnes made his MCU debut alongside his best friend Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), with whom he fought in World War II after Steve became Captain America. Unfortunately, Steve saw his best friend die when he fell off a train during a mission, but his fate was actually worse as he was captured by and experimented on by HYDRA, turning him into the assassin known as the Winter Soldier.
