Manodrome is the sophomore film from South African writer and director John Trengove, whose debut feature, The Wound, was South Africa’s entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards. Manodrome stars Jesse Eisenberg as Ralphie, who finds himself welcomed into a self-styled family of men led by Dad Dan, one of Adrien Brody’s most anticipated upcoming roles. The group’s man-first ethos begins to poison the susceptible Ralphie, even as his girlfriend Sal (Odessa Young) is pregnant with their child.
