Manifest’s Series Finale Set Up A Perfect Spinoff, But It Would Make The Ending Worse

The Manifest series finale has received a mixed reception, but the ending does one thing well: it leaves the door open for a spinoff or sequel to continue the plight of Flight 828. Although the Stone family is presumably free of their “callings” and the Death Date that loomed over them for the entire series, their return to 2013 isn’t without problems. In fact, one could argue that Manifest‘s ending raises a new series of questions and dilemmas, not just for the main characters of the show, but also for the U.S. government, condemned passengers, and potential newcomers.
