Manifest’s Ending Proved The Show’s Original Six-Season Plan Was Always A Mistake
Manifest concluded with its two-part season 4 on Netflix, but the show’s ending proved divisive — and its problems highlight how much worse the creators’ original six-season plan would have been. After more than 60 episodes of solving “callings” and investigating the disappearance of Flight 828, the Stone family gets a surprisingly happy ending. It requires them to board the plane yet again, this time for a judgment of sorts. When the flight is over, they find themselves transported back to the year 2013 as if they never disappeared. Their memories remain intact, and those judged poorly don’t return with them.
