Jurassic Park is one of the most celebrated movies of all time when it comes to practical effects, but one of its most memorable moments was surprisingly hard to accomplish. The gifted effects team behind the film took home the Oscar for Best Visual Effects in 1993 for their work on Jurassic Park, and most of the effects — particularly in regard to the dinosaurs themselves — stand up to modern CGI when it comes to realism.
