Is Saw X The Final Movie?

Saw X has garnered the franchise’s first real rave reviews, but that might be too little, too late given that the 2023 release could be the last movie in the series. The Saw franchise has been on a downward spiral for years, as the highest-grossing movie in the series was Saw III in 2006 (via The Numbers), and since then, interest in the franchise has been significantly declining. The Saw movies hit a new low when 2021’s Spiral grossed just $39 million worldwide. As a result, Lionsgate broke the glass in case of emergency and brought back Tobin Bell’s John Kramer, aka the Jigsaw Killer, for Saw X.
