Is Kathal Worth Watching? A Review Roundup Of The Netflix Movie

When the Indian Hindi-language crime-comedy satire Kathal was released on Netflix in May 2023, it was met with both positive and negative reception. Directed by Yashowardhan Mishra, Kathal tells the story of a squad of police officers, led by Inspector Mahima Basor (Sanya Malhotra), who attempt to figure out who stole a pair of rare kathals (or jackfruit as they are also called) from the garden of a house. While Mahima believes that this case is a complete waste of the police’s time and effort, both the heads of the police and the politicians make it a number one priority for Mahima and her team to solve.
