I Am Legend 2 Can Finally Restore The Book’s Cut Darkseeker After 70 Years

70 years after the release of the original I Am Legend book, I Am Legend 2 has the opportunity to bring a Darkseeker detail to the big screen after the first movie cut it out. Set in a harrowing post-apocalyptic New York City, I Am Legend walks through the adventures of the sole survivor, Dr. Neville, who takes the responsibility of finding a cure for a virus that turned the world’s population into monsters called the Darkseekers. In its telling of these adventures, the movie stays true to the basic elements and story concepts of Richard Matheson’s I Am Legend book, which came out in 1954.
