House Of The Dragon Season 2’s First 2 Episodes Seen By GRRM, Author Teases Devastating Fallout After Season 1 Ending
George R.R. Martin says he’s seen the first two episodes of House of the Dragon season 2, and teases the devastating fallout after the season 1 ending. In season 1, HBO’s first Game of Thrones spinoff took viewers nearly 200 years back into Westerosi history, to the era of Martin’s book Fire & Blood, and specifically, the events leading up to the pivotal Dance of the Dragons, a civil war between factions of the legendary Targaryen family. Heading in to season 2, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) and Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) are poised to do battle with forces led by Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and her son King Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney), both sides boasting their own arrays of flying, fire-breathing – and potentially uncontrollable – dragons.
