Dwayne Johnson’s new Fast & Furious spinoff movie for Hobbs has the opportunity to introduce a character the franchise teased six years ago. Johnson’s future as Luke Hobbs in the Fast & Furious franchise got a big boost thanks to his surprise return in Fast X‘s post-credits scene. The scene confirmed that The Rock was back in the major action franchise and would factor into the already announced eleventh entry of the main series. It was announced shortly thereafter that this was part of a bigger plan for Dwayne Johnson’s return that included a new Hobbs Fast & Furious spinoff movie.
