The Godzilla-starring MonsterVerse has become a hit Hollywood kaiju franchise, but it never would’ve happened if a ‘90s flop had made a bit more money. Along with The Conjuring Universe, the MonsterVerse is one of the most successful cinematic universes to copy the Marvel model. Like Marvel, the MonsterVerse has a huge ensemble of classic characters that audiences have loved for years.
