George Lucas Broke A Star Wars Rule In The Phantom Menace – & It Hasn’t Been Done Since
The Star Wars prequels are some of George Lucas’ most innovative work, and Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace features one of the most unique sequences in all of Star Wars. From the beginning, the majority of Star Wars was filmed in a documentary style, as if Lucas really intended to show what happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Given his vision for six poetic movies, it was always Lucas’ intention for the prequel trilogy to rhyme with the original trilogy. The original trilogy shows Luke Skywalker’s journey to become a Jedi, whereas the prequel trilogy shows Anakin Skywalker’s journey to the dark side.
