Frasier’s Reboot Missing Original Characters Pays Off A 29 Year Old Joke

Paramount+’s upcoming Frasier revival won’t feature most of the original cast, but the controversial decision actually pays off a joke the original series made way back in 1994. Like Kelsey Grammer’s post-Cheers spin-off, 2023’s Frasier‘s reboot is about change as the eminent psychiatrist moves back to Boston to face new challenges, form new relationships, and enter the third chapter of his life. That he won’t be joined by most of the main Frasier cast from the series’ original 264 episode run is a shame, but it’s in no way fatal.
