Frasier Reboot Explains A Cheers Plot Hole 34 Years Later
The Frasier revival has explained a Cheers pothole 34 years later and turned it into the show’s best joke. Frasier began as an ancillary character on Cheers but Kelsey Grammer’s neurotic psychiatrist quickly moved up to series regular. When Cheers ended in 1993, Grammer continued to play the role in his own wildly successful spinoff Frasier, which ran for 11 seasons and saw him dispense psychiatric advice in his Seattle radio show and creating family bonds with his younger brother Niles and curmudgeonly father Martin. In the revival 19 years later, Frasier has moved back to Boston to be closer to his adult son Freddy and take a professorial position at Harvard.
