FF7 Rebirth’s Biggest Improvement Over Remake Would Be Purely Cosmetic

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will make many changes to the Remake formula, but the best change would have absolutely nothing to do with gameplay or story. It’s already well known that FF7 Rebirth is taking the remake trilogy into new territory, with a more open setting and larger environments for players to explore. That lines up perfectly with the part of the original FF7 during which it’s set: the point at which the player party leaves Midgar for the first time and can access the world map. Trailers have hinted that FF7 Rebirth might also make changes to the story as a whole, treading new ground and possibly arriving at a happier ending.
