Marvel Studios introduced many terrifying and powerful villains during the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4, and while some were truly evil, others were simply misunderstood or misguided. While the focus of Marvel Studios’ projects has always been the MCU’s incredible superheroes, no good hero’s story would happen without a threatening villain. There has often been criticism aimed at the MCU’s villains, as some of Marvel Comics’ most iconic foes have been wasted when adapted into live-action, but many of them have managed to retain the complexities that make them some of the franchise’s most magnetic characters.
