Endgame Sabotaged Marvel’s Only Real Chance At Getting Thanos Back In The MCU

Avengers: Endgame brought an end to the first three phases of the MCU, bringing an end to a storyline that spanned across 23 movies, and a couple of TV shows, over a period of more than 10 years – dooming the franchise’s ability to bring back its most iconic villain at the same time. Endgame was an epic conclusion to the Infinity Saga, calling together earth’s mightiest heroes in a pitched battle against the combined might of Thanos and his armies. It provided fans with multiple highlights, brought closure to a number of individual character arcs, and broke numerous records at the box office. In doing so, however, it also sabotaged any chance of Thanos being able to return to the MCU.
