Elemental takes Pixar’s most iconic Easter egg and breaks a 27-movie tradition. For some longtime fans of the studios’ movies, it’s an inventive change, but for others, it’s an upsetting alteration. The Easter egg in question is, of course, the appearance of the Pizza Planet truck. Viewers were introduced to Pizza Planet in Pixar’s first feature-length film, 1995’s Toy Story. The arcade-meets-pie parlor served as an important location in the film. Since then, Pixar’s detailed-oriented team of animators have recycled the asset, hiding it in every movie since.
