Dumb Money Flops Hard At The Box Office Despite Near Universal Appeal Among Critics & Audiences

Dumb Money has turned out a disappointing gross at the domestic box office this weekend. The movie, which tells the true story of a group of ordinary people who found themselves squaring off with the one percent when they used the stock market to raise the price of GameStop shares, has a Certified Fresh 85% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes in addition to a matching 85% audience score. After a limited release on September 15, the movie expanded to a wide release in more than 2,800 theaters on September 29.
