DS9 Episode 3 Created 2 Of Star Trek’s Best Ever Friendships

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine season 1, episode 3, “A Man Alone” introduced two of the franchise’s best and most enduring friendships. In “A Man Alone” Contable Odo (Rene Auberjonois) is framed for the murder of Ibudan (Stephen James Carver), a Bajoran criminal whom DS9‘s Chief of Security previously sent to prison for murder. The murder of Ibudan opens up old wounds on the station as its Bajoran population begins to accuse Odo of being a Cardassian collaborator and a murderer. Thankfully, Commander Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks) and his Starfleet colleagues stand by Odo, despite having only known him for a few weeks.
