The Curtis Wright Purdue Pharma character is a mysterious aspect in the Hulu series Dopesick, but is based on a real person. Despite being mentioned multiple times, and the subject of a subplot through the first three episodes, Wright doesn’t actually appear. The real Wright was an anonymous public official whose decisions had major effects on the American opioid crisis.
