Disney’s Lion King Fixed A Nala Plot Hole 3 Years After The Movie Released

There have been several renditions of The Lion King since Disney’s animated classic debuted, and the later takes on the story fix a Nala plot hole from the original. Nala is an important supporting character in every version of The Lion King, serving as Simba’s love interest who pushes him to return to Pride Rock and take his rightful place as king. Despite Nala’s critical role in Simba’s story, she doesn’t receive as much attention as characters like Timon, Pumba, and Zazu — at least not in the original 1994 film.
