Denzel Washington’s 2004 action movie Man on Fire is a huge streaming hit, having spent four straight weeks in Netflix’s worldwide top ten. Directed by the late Tony Scott, Man on Fire starred Washington as an alcoholic ex-CIA man who goes on a campaign of revenge after the young girl he was tasked with protecting is abducted by a kidnapping ring. Made on a budget of around $70 million, the film took in $130 million at the worldwide box office. Critics weren’t huge fans of Man on Fire however, as reflected in the film’s 38% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
