Blumhouse’s Creep was a small but successful found-footage horror movie, and its sequel, Creep 2, left the door open for Creep 3. Both Creep movies were directed by Patrick Brice — the first was his directorial debut — and co-written by Brice and Mark Duplass. Both men starred in the first Creep, which premiered in 2014 at the South by Southwest festival. In Creep, Brice plays Aaron, a videographer who responds to a Craigslist ad for a job at a remote mountain cabin filming the final days of Josef (Duplass), who is dying. However, Josef’s behavior gets stranger and more disturbing, and Creep concludes with Josef (also known as Bill) killing Aaron.
