Based on the 1990 New Yorker article of the same name by Ian Frazier, Coyote vs. Acme is a unique, tongue-in-cheek spin on the old Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons. The cartoons usually see Wile E. Coyote attempting to use a product from the Acme Corporation to kill the Roadrunner, and the defining running gag of the series sees every single Acme product backfiring on Wile E.
