Coraline Made One Big Change To Neil Gaiman’s Book That Gave The Movie An Edge
Coraline makes one big change from Neil Gaiman’s novella that gives it an edge over the source material. The 2009 adaptation, which was directed by Henry Selick and produced by Laika Studios, keeps the adventure-filled plot, quirky characters, and unsettling tone of Gaiman’s YA fantasy horror story. While it’s among the greatest stop-motion horror movies the animated feature would have had a very different atmosphere if Selick hadn’t made one key departure from the book.
