Boba Fett is among Star Wars’ most iconic characters for his cool and collected portrayal in The Empire Strikes Back. Yet he first debuted in a Star Wars project a year before his appearance in the original trilogy. As the first and only Mandalorian ever shown in the original Star Wars trilogy, Boba Fett is single-handedly responsible for inspiring the Mandalorian culture audiences have come to love, so much so that Disney created The Mandalorian. In more ways than one, Boba Fett walked so that Din Djarin could run. However, Fett’s recognizable character design was actually rushed in order for him to appear sooner than The Empire Strikes Back.
