Ballet Helps Combat Homelessness In New Documentary Lift [EXCLUSIVE CLIP]

Lift, a documentary about the power of dance, was recently acquired by Paramount and debuts today in select theaters before hitting digital platforms on September 22. The beloved ballerina Misty Copeland executive produces and serves as principal advisor for the movie, which follows a group of children impacted by homelessness as they learn to express themselves through dance. Their mentor is Steven Melendez, Principal Artist and Artistic Director of New York Theater Ballet, and his guidance in the LIFT Community Service Program leads to scholarships for talented at-risk dancers.
