Baldur’s Gate 3: Paladin Subclasses – Oaths & How To Break Them

Paladins have some of the most interesting class features in Baldur’s Gate 3 thanks to the oaths that play a central role in defining them. Although the idea of upholding oaths comes from the implementation of paladins in the tabletop Dungeons & Dragons experience, Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian Studios has tweaked the rules for the DnD paladin to fit better with video game mechanics. These changes are focused in particular on creating fun consequences for keeping or breaking the sacred oaths of a paladin.
