Aliens: Dark Descent marries top-down real-time strategy and squad-based combat to bring something new to the long list of Alien franchise video games. It comes two years after the 3rd-person squad-based shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite offered players the chance to go up against wave after wave of Xenomorphs and, like that game, captures the look and feel of the iconic franchise while still giving players adrenaline boost after adrenaline boost.
