Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein has gone on record to voice his support for another Ted Lasso ending that would’ve seen Roy Kent conclude his romantic arc in a throuple. The funny, heartfelt series told the unexpectedly moving story of an American football coach’s struggles to transform the mindset and fortunes of an underperforming English soccer team. Among his players were Goldstein’s Roy Kent and Jamie Tartt (played by Phil Dunster), both of whom dated the same woman at different times during the show’s run. Ted Lasso concluded its three-season run in May 2023 with a controversial ending that refused to wrap up all the series’ storylines.
