When British series get American reboots, the results can most certainly be mixed, and unfortunately when it comes to FOX’s Call Me Kat, audiences were more disappointed than satisfied. Call Me Kat is the Americanized version of the hit U.K. sitcom, Miranda, which follows a socially awkward woman, played by Miranda Hart, who runs a joke shop and is constantly berated by her mother. Meanwhile, Call Me Kat follows Mayim Bialik’s Kat, an equally awkward woman who opens a cat café despite her disappointed mother’s protests.
