The Pope’s Exorcist starring Russell Crowe as the real-life Vatican exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth has become one of the most popular films on Netflix. The film follows the apparent demonic possession of a young boy in Rome, Italy in 1987 and the efforts of Amorth to investigate the source of a centuries-old conspiracy. The story was based on the actual personal files of Father Amorth, who died in 2016.
