6 Years Later, Disney Seems No Closer To Fixing Their Biggest Franchise

It’s been six years since the last installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series was released, and Disney seems no closer to pulling its most successful franchise back together. Consisting of five films, the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has raked in the cash for the House of Mouse, but things have really gone downhill since the first few installments. 2017’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales had the lowest performance of them all, placing Jack Sparrow’s story on tumultuous waters. Though Disney promised the franchise would continue, the future looks just as rough.
