20 years ago, Genndy Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars micro-series changed Star Wars forever. The original animated show depicting the events between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, 2003’s Clone Wars aired on Cartoon Network five years before Lucasfilm’s 3D animated Clone Wars series from director Dave Filoni which became official Star Wars canon instead. However, Tartakovsky’s series still became a foundational piece of Star Wars material that would inspire and influence multiple elements of the galaxy far, far away.
