From Joffrey Baratheon in Game of Thrones to the Governor in The Walking Dead, there have been some really satisfying character deaths throughout TV history. Usually, TV character deaths are heartbreaking, like Hank Schrader in Breaking Bad or Omar Little in The Wire. Even a character who isn’t particularly likable, like Logan Roy in Succession, can tug on the heartstrings when they pass away because of the grief felt by all the characters that love them. But when a despicable villain is killed off, it can be a cause for celebration.
