JUST IN- Jeff Bezos Dethrones Elon Musk To Reclaim Title Of World’s Richest Man
On Monday, March 4th, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos reclaimed the title of the world’s richest person, surpassing Elon Musk, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Bezos’ net worth reached $200 billion, while Musk’s stood at $198 billion. Musk, who heads Tesla, X (formerly Twitter), and SpaceX, experienced a decrease of over $30 billion as Tesla’s share price dropped by 25% in recent months.
Additionally, a court approved the cancellation of Musk’s substantial $55.8 billion Tesla compensation agreement in January.
Bezos, no longer actively involved in Amazon’s management, benefited from the company’s rising stock prices.
Despite selling $8.5 billion in stocks recently, he remains the largest shareholder.
Bernard Arnault, the CEO of luxury group LVMH, holds the third position in the world’s richest people rankings with a net worth of $197 billion.
