I’m broke – May D Respond After Being Called Out For Owing N11,000

Renowned Nigerian singer and songwriter, May D has reacted after he was accused of owing N11,000.

A waitress who works at a hotel had claimed that on January 12, 2024, the singer ordered food and drinks and refused to complete payment.

The waitress @dblaqgoddess232 said May D and his friends came to the hotel and bought edible items which amounted to a total N56,000.

She said May D and his friends all left left for a club that same day and didn’t return until the next day. she decided to contact him when she wanted to reconcile the account in the morning through a phone number offered by a friend still.

According to her, May D was offensive in his response but after much pleading, he finally paid N45,000 out of the total N56,000 with an outstanding balance of N11,000 since January.

In reaction, May D admitted to owing the money and revealed that he’s broke and wants to be left alone. He asked the waitress to send her account number to him and wait till he gets his salary.

In his words:

“You people should leave me alone I’m broke, she should send her account, I’ll pay her at the end of the month when I collect salary from my Oga .. 11k Abi.”
