I Want To Play For A Bigger Club – Nwabali Hints At Chippa Utd Exit

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has suggested that he wants to leave Chippa United as he wants to play for a bigger club.

Nwabali has attracted a lot of top clubs following his impressive performance for his country at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, having also kept 11 clean sheets for Chippa United in 26 appearances.

Saudi club, El-Ettifaq, Sky Bet Championship side, Queens Park Rangers and Kaizer Chiefs are among the clubs reportedly interested in the much talented goalkeeper.

Following the final game of the season – a 2-0 defeat to Orlando Pirate, the shot stopper hinted his future may lie away from the South African club.

He said;

“Well, everyone would love to leave because when you are in some position, you need to grow. Like everyone in my position, I would like to grow more.

I’m talking about clubs higher than this [Chippa United] because I have been giving my all to my club this season. I just wish to have another challenge at some other place.”
