GUESS WHO!!! Rio Ferdinand Names Club To Win Champions League
Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has named Manchester City as the favourites to win the Champions League this season.
The ex England international believes Pep Guardiola’s side are level above other teams in the competition and has what it takes to defend the title.
Ferdinand made this known after Man City advanced to the quarter-final stage of the Champions League after beating FC Copenhagen 3-1 in the round of 16 second leg tie at the Etihad Stadium.
In his words:
“I just don’t see anybody beating them over two legs. Then it depends on who gets in the final,” Ferdinand told TNT Sports post-match.
“Whoever they are playing against in the final needs that stardust from one or two players who can turn a game on its head, then they have an opportunity, a chance.
“But City, I think they are standout favourites. They are a level above.”
