GEEZ!!!! Man Rapes And Kills Female Trader For Money Ritual, Burns Her Corpse In Kwara

The Kwara State Police have arrested Atolagbe Yemi Oje, a suspect accused of raping and murdering a mother of one, Mayowa Ajiboye, allegedly for ritual purposes.

Ajiboye, a palm oil seller from Omu-Aran area of the state, was reportedly raped to death, her corpse burnt, and the remains dumped in a river by the suspect.

The state Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, condemned the act, describing the suspect as “a monster” and the incident as “barbaric.”

According to Olaiya, the victim initially paid N1,600 to the suspect last November to help fetch firewood in the forest, but he refused to supply it.

On February 22, 2024, the victim and her daughter went to fetch firewood in the bush and encountered Oje, who joined them.

Oje then lured the victim deeper into the bush under the pretext of gathering more firewood. He suddenly attacked her from behind while she was on the phone, rendering her unconscious by hitting her severely on the head with a stick.

Subsequently, he raped her, cut some hair from her vagina, and cleaned her private parts with a white handkerchief for ritual purposes. He then slaughtered her with a cutlass, set her remains on fire, and dragged the burnt body to a river to conceal it.
