Fire Guts INEC Office In Ibadan (DETAILS)
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State has confirmed a fire incident at its office in Ibadan South East Local Government Area.
Dr. Adeniran Rahmon Tella, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, confirmed the incident in a brief statement to Daily Post on Friday, stating that it occurred around 10:30 am.
While the cause of the fire remains undisclosed, Tella assured that it will not impact the upcoming re-run election in the Saki West state constituency.
He emphasized that although logistical materials were lost, no lives were harmed.
The incident is not expected to affect the Saki/West State Constituency re-run election scheduled for Saturday, February 3, 2024.
