Controversial clergyman, Prophet Odumeje has said that as long as Nigeria is not progressing, then every citizen in the country are illiterates.

The man of God expressed disappointment that many people are claiming they are educated in Nigeria and the road network are bad.

He explained that learned people can be found in a country where there is digital development.

Odumeje cited Dubai, UAE, as a place where there are educated people because modern infrastructure and technology can be found there.

In his words;

“Everybody claiming educated in Nigeria; where there is no good road. Do you known what they call ‘learned people’. Educated people stay in a country where there is a lot of digital development. Everybody in this country is illiterate.

“Go to intelligent country like Dubai [UAE] you will see modern things, any educated people or educated country, go there, you will see development everyday because educated person means you have something that others do not have and you must bring it in practicals.

“Educated people in a white man’s country are the ones that manufacture car, bringing modern cars. They want to kill fuel, now they have brought electrical [cars]. Eeverybody borrowed a professor and doctorate certificates and they come out saying; We are so learned colleague, we are doctors. As far as this country is not moving forward, all of us are illiterates.”
