Court Jails 9 For Internet Fraud In Edo (DETAILS)
Nine individuals in Edo State have been found guilty of internet fraud by a High Court.
Their names are Enogieru Larry Precious, Ideawor Anointed, Blessed Inlanaye, Collins Egha, Prince Adigbe, Ezekiel Ejiro Edowoyi, Jeffrey Osagbaroghamwen, Akpomiemie Aghogho, and Ogbame Kelly.
They were sentenced after admitting to deceiving others to obtain money. For example, Precious was charged with possessing documents containing false information.
The prosecution, represented by I. K. Agwai, Salihu Ahmed, and Ibrahim Faisal, urged the court to convict them, which it did.
Justice Efe Ikponmwonba handed down various jail terms to the nine offenders.
